Another Trip.....Living My Life with Intention

We just got back from Breckenridge, Colorado and it was another amazing trip. This is one of the greatest reasons why I made the switch from Corporate America to Entrepreneur. It's an incredible feeling to have the ability to pick and go, anywhere, anytime I want to and continue to make money. There is no one to answer to except yourself. Being in total control of my life gives me a greater appreciation for everything that I do and contribute to in society. What it really stems down to is living a life with intention, your intention and no one elses. So, what does that really mean? For me, it's waking up every morning and focusing on the vision I have created for myself and family. It's waking up every morning knowing that I have the power and motivation to do the activities that I know will bring me closer to that vision that I have created.

I often sit in awe of the life I am living. I used to think that the only way to become successful was to work really hard, sacrificing my personal and family life. Then I realized, as you begin to live your life with intention, and you balance it out, you have more to offer to others. You are revived, rejuvenated. You become overflowing with Joy that is overwhelmingly contagious. When you are doing more of what you love day in and day out it is amazing the new possibilities that open up for you. All of the sudden the world becomes your play land, you thrive instead of survive. The filter of life, or what I call your belief system that was created by your past experiences and your thinking begins to shift. You realize that, that was then and this is now. And you live in the now and focus on the vision you have created. By shifting your thinking that filter becomes much wider and you become more open to receive. As you become more open to receive, new ideas, concepts it opens up your mind and heart and you then live your life with intention.

What is my intention? Well, it is to live a life without limits. Cherishing and enjoying each and every moment for what it is, spending time doing the things that I enjoy with the people that I love and assisting others in realizing their life long goals and dreams. Just imagine if everyone in this world felt fulfilled or lived a life that was thriving not surviving. When you begin living life this way, there is no pre-judgement of others, there is no right and wrong. It is about what works for you. That is why I am so passionate about what I am doing. I know that the more people I can get this message out to, the better place this world would be. It's truly about assisting others who then in turn assist others and so on and so forth...for every one person I touch, move and inspire to live a life of intention, the butterfly effect is tremendous.

Colorado is such an incredibly beautiful place. To sit and stare at the mountains, the wild flowers and the aspen trees...to raft down the Colorado River through the canyons, it places me in awe of the amazing power of nature. And then I sit and think...we are all connected and how amazing each and every human being is...how we are all so perfect in our imperfections. Enjoy the slide show of our trip. As you can see, I have captured earth's incredible beauty.

Living the Life on the Way to the Liberty Conference

Wow! Life is good. I am so grateful to have made the choice to change my life and change my old way of thinking. I love living life outloud. I just got back from a 10 day trip to Santa Monica, CA and Waikiki Beach, HI. What an amazing adventure and there was no better way to end it then the Liberty Conference. Not to mention, it's always fun to make money along the way.

Santa Monica was a blast! We stayed on the beach at the Loews Hotel and my son fell in love with the view of the pier from our balcony. Needless to say we spent the days having fun on the beach and playing at the Pier. Jason became addicted to the carnival games. It's amazing how competitive he can be. Perhaps it has something to do with watching his father compete in his sprint triatholons. Check out the fun we had-

From there it was off to Waikiki Beach. That was my first time in Waikiki Beach and it was absolutely beautiful. The combination of the beach and the backdrop of the mountains was breathtaking. We had a few days of fun with family and fellow Liberty Leaguers and friends prior to the Liberty Conference kicking off. We had the pleasure of taking a catamaran cruise with many leaders from Liberty League, including the two co-founders, Brent Payne and Shane Krider. And the conversations we had were powerful. I have never been part of a business where the people having the financial results you are seeking share their wisdom, openly. In addition to the networking it was unbelievably beautiful being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It was so clear and blue...you can see 40 feet down...and the Spinner Dolphins were amazing. They were jumping & spinning 20' in front of the catamaran. Then it was back to the beach for more fun. It was awesome to see my 4 year old son boogie boarding on Waikiki Beach. At the hotel they had a lagoon that was filled with fish. Jason and I had a ton of fun attempting to catch the fish, boy those buggers were fast. Midweek Ben, Jason and I ventured to Hawaii Sky Diving with a whole bunch of friends and fellow Liberty Leaguers and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life (I will save that one for a seperate blog). And it was so cool to have my little guy waiting at the drop zone to see us land.

The Liberty Conference started on Thursday and everytime I leave an event I say "they will never top this one" and inevitably they do. The speakers were top notch, as always. We had Lee Brower, from the Secret and the name of his organization is Quadrant Living Experience. He discussed the Power of Gratitude and how many doors it will open up for you. Based on his discussions, Ben and I have now implemented a new family policy. You are no longer allowed to state a negative without starting out with three positives from the day. It is amazing, but all of the sudden by the time you get to the negative, it has lost it's power. His Quadrants for decision making include Financial, Experience, Contribution and Core. What he made me realize was that Optimizing my assets does not necessarily mean focusing on my balance sheet only, but that my experiences, relationships, methods of operation, skills, alliances, unique abilities are all assets to enhance in order to create success in your life. And even more importantly, success and successful decisions should not only be based on financial matters but all areas of the quadrants.

Sam Crowley was the second speaker. He is founder of Everyday is Saturday. He brought emotion to the day. His story is incredible I would recommend getting on his website or giving me a call and I will share. He gave me more focus, clarity and commitment then I have ever had. He made me realize that there are so many people out there just looking for a better way. They just don't know it exists or they have been pre-conditioned to think that the corporate grind is the only way. We have the solution and it is our responsibility to spread the message that there is a different way. We have all been put on this earth to THRIVE not SURVIVE. We have the opportunity to provide the solution to THRIVE! Don't pre-judge anyone, give them the opportunity to decide whether or not to change their current circumstances. During Sam's segment we all had the opportunity to hear 10 people from the Liberty League Community to share their story...and well let's just say, I don't think there was a dry eye in the audience and it re-inforced my feeling of gratitude to be a part of such a wonderful community of people.

I am loving life! I will be back to share more soon!

Defining our Relationship with Money

I just finished an incredible book that has completely transformed my relationship with money and how I pursue my passion for being an advocate to end sexual assault in our society. The book is called The Soul of Money written by Lynne Twist, an amazingly inspiritational women who is best known as an avid global activist for the past 30 years.

Lynne Twist has raised billions of dollars for The Hunger Project, a global strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. In Africa, Asia and Latin America, The Hunger Project empowers people to achieve lasting progress in health, education, nutrition and family income. She co-founded the Pachamama Alliance which is committed to empowering indigenous people to preserve their territories and way of life and thereby protect the natural world for the entire human family. Her primary role within those organizations has been fundraising. Through her journey in fundraising, she has been able to work with individual mulit-millionaires, wealthy families and billion dollar corporations from around the world. This book documents the lessons that she has learned over time.

One of the first observations that she makes, made me stop and begin to analyze my own relationship with money. We as a human race created the concept of money and then the actual physical being of money, yet most people in our society allow money to own them. We all tend to get caught up with the perception that money is scarce, that resources are lacking. And we ourselves limit our abundance by our belief in scarcity. Paul Zeiter stated it best, "There is a natural law of abundance which pervades the entire universe, but it will not flow through a doorway of belief in lack and limitation."

Lynne Twist goes on to define 3 toxic myths of money;

1. There is not enough.
2. More is better.
3. That's just the way it is.

As I take a step back and reflect upon how I have been living, I realized I have been guilty of those thoughts. Those thoughts create a you or me perception of the world instead of a you and me world of connectivity, where we are all one, which is aligned with how I live every other area of my life excluding money...or have I been, since money facilitates so much in our lives.

I love it when a book challenges our deepest beliefs allowing us to have a breakthrough and raise our level of awareness. I have created the following 3 affirmations to assist in changing my relationship with money;

1. Abundance surrounds me.
2. I am grateful for all that is in my world.
3. I will create new possibilities and take action to achieve them.

As I move forward in my life, money will now be a conduit to express my inner being.

One of the other powerful revelations I had while reading this book relates to how I pursue my passion of ending sexual assault in our society. Historically, I have been focusing my attention on the aftermath, another words, the healing of victims/survivors, training for first point of contact service providers, ie nurses, police, attorney's, etc and changing laws to hold sexual predators accountable. What Lynne Twist made me realize, was that when you approach an issue from the stand point that you are going to end it, not just make it better, your choices become very different as well as how you allocate your resources. This has transformed the way I will progress in my efforts to end sexual assault in our society. The possibilites that I am now creating focus on education, at a very young age. The education would not be fear based but would have a three pronged approach:

1. Defining gender roles as equal in every aspect of our society.
2. To raise awareness in our youth as to what is appropriate and what is not, and what to do if you have been inappropriately touched or approached.
3. Educating the parents on raising their level of awareness on interpreting signs that perhaps something might have happened.

I am excited by this new approach and will keep you posted with my progress.

In closing, this book came recommended to me from a wonderful friend and mentor,Lisa Molina, and I highly recommend it to anyone that feels money owns them.

Beyond Freedom, A World of Transformation

I did a radio talk show last week called Heal Yourself Talk Radio or http://www.healyourselftalk.com/. It's a great place to visit and share stories of transformation. As the program progressed, I began to realize, how truly the law of attraction works in our world. When my son turned two, it brought upon many memories of past experiences. I was allowing those past experiences to define me, to dictate who I was being. There is this famous quote that I absolutely love, "We see the world as we are not as it is." And so by approaching the world from a negative perspective, you then view the world to be a negative place. What's amazing to me is that, when I had truly hit rock bottom, that's when my brother introduced Liberty League to my husband Ben. My introduction to thinking a different way was at a Liberty Conference that I attended in March 2007, as a guest of my husband. I was reluctantly sitting in the audience listening to Michael Losier ( a prominent facilitator of the Law of Attraction). It's funny, because I am sitting there thinking, why am I here....and then I actually started to listen, I dropped my pre-judgement and prejudices and truly listened to what Michael was saying, everything in life is a choice, including whether you roll out of bed and greet the day with a smile or a frown. The difference is how the world responds to your vibration. I am sure you have all experienced waking up in a bad mood that is followed by a morning of mishaps from stubbing your toe to completely forgetting you had a doctor's appointment that took months to get vs. the morning you wake up with a smile and everything seems to be going your way, well what I have discovered is that it is not an accident and it is as simple as making a choice. As I continued to listen, and yes even participate in the exercises, I began to realize that there is another way, a simplier way to approach the world. After Micheal Losier, came Andy Andrews, an author and motivational speaker. He too was incredible. His Seven Decisions to Personal Success are phenomenal and so easy and basic. He spoke about a book at the conference, The Traveler's Gift. The timing was perfect and I had the book completed within a week of seeing him speak. The book is powerful in that it helps place perspective on "problems" that you think you are having and the relevance thereof...it's a quick read I highly recommend.

As you can imagine, when I returned from that Liberty Conference, my life had just begun an incredible transformation. I felt as though I had been awakened. As I began to dig into Beyond Freedom ("BYF"), well that was truly how I began to recognize how to apply this different way of thinking to my life. BYF is an amazing guided tour of your inner self. It assists you in finding clarity and focus in your life. To truly understand what motivates you is powerful. It allows you to live your life with intention, with razor beam intention that guides you to achieving your ultimate life goals, whether they be financial or spiritual or in my case both (for me the spiritual side entails the---mental, emotional, physical being).

What's truly incredible is that what I was introduced to comes in a little neat, simple, turn key system that I now get to share with the world. Not only do I get to share it, but there is a lucrative compensation plan that comes along with it. It is an amazing place to be, to love what you do, to live the life of your dreams and to have the opportunity to share it with the world.

Freedom, Fun, Family and Friends

When I sat down and began to create this blog, I thought, "What could I entitle it that would represent who my family is and what we are all about?".....and then it came to me from within, Freedom, Fun, Family and Friends.

I spent the last 17 years on Wall Street in Real Estate Finance at Credit Suisse. It was a wonderful experience, in that, I learned a tremendous amount about starting, growing and maintaining businesses, real estate and people. I am grateful for the experience and all of the incredible friendships I built over the years.

That being said, approximately two years ago, as my son was turning 2, I woke up and realized I felt like I was missing out. My nanny was spending more time with my son, Jason and husband, Ben, than I was. I became extremely frustrated by the situation I had created. I had absolutely no freedom to spend time doing the things I enjoy with my family and friends. At the time, Ben was also in the financial industry and we both agreed that something had to change.

We thought about a retail business or franchise, but as we dug in, we realized that both of these alternatives would have led us right back into the same situation. Then my brother, David Varrone, introduced us to the greatest business opportunity, Liberty League International. It is an incredible community of leaders who willingly share insight to how they have achieved their own financial success. It is a simple turn key system. The opportunity itself transforms lives. Ben and I now get to touch, move and inpire others to create unlimited possilities in their own future. To assist others in creating millionaires is powerful. I have closed billion dollar transactions on Wall Street and nothing compares to the sheer joy you feel when you watch someone else, that you have assisted, become successful financially and spiritually.

And so....Freedom, the Freedom to be the cause in the matter of your life. To live your life with intention(your's not your bosses).

To have Fun doing the things you love to do with Family and Friends all while earning financial Freedom.
